BODYBAR Pilates Expands to Byron Center

BODYBAR Pilates new location is expected to open in March 2026
BODYBAR Pilates is expanding with a new studio at 2324 64th Street SW in Byron Center, Michigan. Locally owned and operated by Lyndsay Gresham and Sara Vilcans, the studio will introduce a new fitness concept to one of the region’s rapidly growing communities. The studio is scheduled to open in March 2026.
A Passion That Grew Into A Business
The journey began as a simple routine that quickly evolved into something larger.
“It started as a shared Pilates routine that became a passion and shaped our lives. After three years of consistent practice, Sara and I began dreaming about how we could turn our love for Pilates into something bigger, something we could share with our local community. Improving the health and wellness of our local communities is extremely important to us. What better way to do that than with something that we love?” said Gresham.

Why Byron Center?
The decision to bring a new studio to Byron Center was intentional. The owners evaluated multiple markets before selecting this location.
“Byron Center felt like the ideal place to expand BODYBAR Pilates in Michigan. The community is vibrant and growing, yet it currently lacks a fitness concept like ours. We saw an opportunity to introduce something fresh and inspiring. Specifically, a unique Pilates experience designed to energize, empower, and support the wellness journey of Byron Center residents.”
A Collaborative Site Search
Mary Anne Wisinski-Rosely, SIOR, CCIM and Jason Makowski, SIOR of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented BODYBAR Pilates in the site search and lease negotiation. Bob Lotzar of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented the landlord.
“Lyndsay and Sara had a clear vision from day one. Byron Center is growing quickly, and their concept fills a true gap in the market. It has been a privilege to help bring this project to life and support another business investing in West Michigan,” said Wisinski-Rosely.
The ownership team shared their experience working through the process.
“Working with Mary Anne and Jason was a fantastic experience. They were incredibly patient and persistent, standing by us through months of searching for the perfect location. Their expertise and dedication were instrumental in securing landlord approval and making our vision a reality. We are truly grateful for their support in helping us cross the finish line at just the right spot.
