The new location marks an exciting expansion for owners Kris and Troy, who have grown the business from a single studio into a thriving creative destination. The Eastown studio will focus on pottery wheel experiences, supporting continued growth and meeting increasing demand for hands-on, arts-focused programming.
Owning a business has long been a shared goal for the couple. Kris brings nearly a decade of experience as an art educator, followed by her role managing The Mud Room, where she was mentored by former owner Rachel. That foundation positioned her to successfully transition into ownership and continue building the brand.
After acquiring The Mud Room and operating it for over a year, Kris and Troy made the decision to expand. Troy stepped away from his career in warehouse automation sales to support the next phase of the business, reinforcing their commitment to long-term growth.
Eastown was a natural fit for the new location. Having previously lived in the neighborhood, the owners were drawn to its strong arts presence and active local business community. The Kingsley Building, with its historic character and mix of established tenants, offered the right environment to bring their vision to life.
