Meet Veronica Miller!

What job did you do previously? What led you to the commercial real estate industry?

“In my previous role, I was the Media and Communications Director at Resurrection Life Church in Big Rapids while I finished my Bachelor’s degree. During that time, I learned essential skills that I can use as Marketing Specialist at NAI. The Commercial Real Estate Industry was initially intriguing to me, which ultimately led me to apply. It seemed like a fun, yet challenging opportunity, especially considering the narrow target audience.”

How did you decide to work as a Marketing Specialist?

“I thought the responsibilities and expectations were in line with what I was already good at. At Reslife Big Rapids, I managed all of the photography, videography, social media, and general communications, and that’s what I’m doing here at NAI. I’m grateful the Marketing Specialist role encompasses most of what I already know with plenty of room for learning and improvement. In school, I always made sure to actively engage in discussion, whether that was asking questions or providing my own experience in a topic. I think the collaboration aspect of being the Marketing Specialist fit right into my style of discussing, creating, and finishing projects.”

What do you like most about working with NAI?

“Beginning with my first interview, NAI seemed like an uplifting environment. It was clear that this company operates and engages with one another according to high standards yet with zero reluctance to fun. An uplifting environment is always one of my most important criteria in interviewing companies, and now especially as I launch my career in Marketing. That’s what I was looking for and that’s what I’m seeing so far.”

What does a “day-in-the-life” look like for you?

“After several months on the job, I am now beginning to settle into the routine of my weekly and monthly responsibilities such as email blast creation and editing, graphic design, photography, videography, social media management, helping with the market reports, and keeping other content and marketing materials relevant and up-to-date. Overall, this role is very collaborative with Maddie, our summer intern, Savannah, our Marketing Director, and even the agents and their assistants, which is an aspect I’m really enjoying.”

What’s your proudest work moment?

“At Reslife Big Rapids, there were a few Instagram Reels that did really well. One of them hit just about 100,000 views which was a proud moment for me, especially considering my hard work in posting consistent and creative content before that. Social media can work wonders for brand awareness, and we were beginning to see the fruits of it. Besides numbers-based successes like that one, I am proud of every video, photoshoot, graphic, or written piece I finish and am satisfied with. I hope to use similar contemporary marketing methods to accomplish the same thing at NAI.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“In my free time, I like to cook and bake, lift weights and do yoga, play with my two cats, Ivy and Penelope, and chill with my family and friends. Many times, you will catch me either exploring Michigan beaches or dreaming about it.”

My favorite part of real estate is…

“My favorite part about commercial real estate is getting the inside scoop of up and coming businesses in the local area– It’s fun to know who’s popping up, expanding, or moving.”
