A BACKGROUND IN SERVICE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Kristen brings a unique blend of creative energy and professional experience to her role. Originally from Muskegon, she has spent the past several years working with various organizations in the Kalamazoo area, most recently supporting operations at Praxis Strategies and Solutions. Prior to that, Kristen built a career in the arts and small business sector, working as a manager and instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studios of Grandville. She later launched her own independent dance instruction business, traveling to clients’ spaces and also teaching popular community classes at the Forest Hills Community Center.
Whether guiding students through a ballroom routine or supporting entrepreneurs behind the scenes, Kristen’s work has always centered around service, connection, and making a positive impact.

BEYOND THE OFFICE
Outside of work, Kristen enjoys tabletop roleplaying games, hiking, sketching, and board games with friends. Evenings are often spent reading aloud with her kids, enjoying bonfires, or diving into a good video game. A familiar face at the TX Corners Farmer’s Market during the summer, she’s an active part of the local community.
